Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

My friend and former coworker Pam emailed me about setting up a shoot with her and her 2 daughters. It's been almost 4 years now since we have worked together and I can not believe how much these girls have grown.  The last time I saw Victoria, she was a little younger than my oldest is now. Now she is in junior high and just skipped right over that awkward phase I remember so well from my days back then.

Her younger sister Eleanor was just an itty bitty thing 4 years ago. She used to always visit us in the office and I swear her little head would barely peek over the top of my desk. Now she's heading towards those tween years and just as beautiful as her older sister. And those freckles...1 word....ADORABLE!!!!

From the 1st minute I caught back up with Pam and the girls, it was easy to see that the amazing mother/daughter bond they all share was still there though. The 3 of them spent our whole shoot just cracking each other up and really enjoying their time together.

Even though I left a little sad seeing how fast these beautiful girls are growing up, it was so fun reconnecting with old friends! Hopefully we'll get to do it again before another 4 years goes by!  Thanks Pam, Victoria and Eleanor.

Fun in the sun with the Katelyn & Connor

Last week, I had the honor of photographing these 2 adorable kiddos. Their equally gorgeous and adorable momma is an old friend from high school. I was so excited to meet up with her and photograph these 2. We had been talking about it for weeks and when the big day came, I just knew it was going to be a great shoot.  How could it not? The camera just loved them both!

Both kiddos have summer birthdays so we were able to throw in my favorite prop...balloons! Being a fan of bright colors, I never get tired of photographing balloons. And sweet kids like these, really add to the fun.

Their mom told me to bring whatever fun props I wanted. Since they are both going to school in just a few weeks, I thought it would be fun to bring the infamous desk and have a little back to school shoot.  Big sister Katelyn is going into the 3rd grade this year. My oldest is on her cheer squad, so pop back over in a few weeks to see some squad pictures with these gorgeous girls.

Big man Connor is gearing up for Kindergarten. It's easy to see why he already has 5 girlfriends! I'm sure school will only add to more. :)

One last one of these 2 gorgeous kiddos.
Thank you guys for such a fun shoot!

Hope to do it again soon!

My Poor Neglected Blog....

It seems no matter how hard I try, my poor blog is always neglected. I am the first to admit that I am a bit of a face book junkie and do spend most of my time over there adding new pictures and staying in touch. The past few weeks have been a bit of a hard time for my family and me. We were going through some personal/medical issues that caused me to postpone a lot of scheduled shoots. Thankfully, I have the most amazing clients and they were all so supportive about it.  When I was unable to go on location for them, they came to me for studio shots. Here are a few examples of those.

I am happy to say I am back and in full swing. I had 2 on location shoots this past weekend and loved every minute of it! I'll post more pictures of those later this week, but here are a few sneak peeks.

Summer Fun

To me, nothing says summer like carnivals and Ferris wheels! My husband and I went up to chicago for a 3 day weekend and the only thing I knew for sure I wanted to do was visit the Navy Pier. I am obsessed with pictures of Ferris Wheels and the weather that weekend was just incredible.  This might be one of my most favorite pictures ever. Hopefully one of these days I will get around to printing off some of my pictures instead of using up all the memory on my computer. ;)

Happy Birthday America!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We had an amazing family day. Early morning screening of cars 2, lunch at Red Robin, the girls had a great time catching candy during our city parade and then my hubby grilled and put on an amazing fireworks display in our front yard.

Happy Birthday America....a week and a 1/2 late. :)
