I Heart challenge-A Touch of Sun

The Girl Scout Song..."Make new friends, but keep the old, some are silver and the other's gold"...ran through my head when I was uploading this one.  Haley & chandler, 2 of my favorite 2012 seniors, are both about to turn 18 in a few weeks. They wanted a fun, 18th birthday/ best friend shoot. These gorgeous girls have been best friends and inseparable since junior high. After a day full of rainy shoots, I was happy to end my day with this "golden" shot.

Ihc-Pet Week

This week's entry is Pet Week and I had to share this quick snapshot of Georgia and Isabella. I love how the focus ended up on Georgia and I'm pretty sure that's a dog smile right there too!  Head on over to look at the rest of the adorable pets featured this week.

Ihc-Beautiful Eyes

Well here it is 2 weeks later and I still haven't found the time to update the blog. School started back up today and as if we werent' busy enough last week, we had to throw in a possible case of appendicitis and a broken foot. Thankfully, it was just a really nasty virus and a bruised bone. My hair is almost completely grey now thanks to these girls of mine. ;) 

We did manage to spend 1 of our last days of summer vacation enjoying the amazing 80 degree weather we have been having. We spent a day down at the city garden running through the sprinklers, playing in the waterfall and then made a quick stop for some snowcones on the way home. I brought my Godson along with us. He wasn't too fond of the water but did humor me and let me get an updated picture of him. When I read that this week's entry was Beautiful Eyes, I had to submit this one. Just look at this handsome little man. I could eat him up I love him so!

I Heart challenge- Bright & Vivid

This week's challenge is Bright & Vivid. I haven't entered a challenge in a few weeks, but knew immediately this was the contest for me! No denying I love my pictures bright & vivid :)

Isabella's favorite book this year was 11 Birthdays. She was always rereading it, talking about it and just really, really enjoyed it. So for her 10th birthday pictures, we recreated the cover...in Isabella's own fashion sense of course.

I'll love you forever...my baby you'll be!

In honor of Mother's Day, this week's challenge is all about Moms. I had to enter what is still my most favorite picture ever. I love that this shows not only the love between a mother and her children, but how the love in a family grows stronger with every generation. If you've never read the book "I'll Love You Forever", drop what you are doing and run to your nearest Borders. The main line says it all...."I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."   I hope all the Mother's and Grandmother's had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday! I know this momma did :)

I Heart challenge- Pets

This week's challenge is pets and I thought it only fitting as this was my very 1st picture shot in manual mode last month.  The girls were at school and Lilly and I were enjoying a relaxing and quiet morning just lounging around. :)
