Baby Gianni

I finally finished editing baby Gianni's newborn pictures.  I have become such a specific time of day, location of light, shooter, that this shoot really caught me off guard. But it was a great learning experience for me. I rarely shoot indoors any more. Even in my own house. So scheduling a newborn shoot, indoors, at 6 p.m. on a dark and rainy night, really tested my creative boundaries. But overall, I am in love with the images of this little man.....

And his big sister has some serious idol worship going on too.....

In fact, it seems that the whole family has been swept away with baby Gianni fever....
Not that you can blame them, look at this sweet boy...

He is definitely giving me some serious baby fever myself!

Thank you again Pantanor family for letting me in your home and for trusting me with your 1st pictures as a family of 4. I hope you are all enjoying spending time with your newest little man.

And just one more to show what baby Gianni thinks of his big sis.....yes that is a  newborn smile you see! :)

More sneak peeks....

I am still trying to get ahead of all my editing from the past 2 weeks. Adding in 3 more sessions this past weekend and a birthday party, only put me a little more behind :) But I am loving all of the fun sessions I have had lately.  Here are just a few sneak peeks from my weekend.

Please check back in later this week for a full blog post from Gianni's newborn session....and hopefully baby Ben's newborn session too. I foresee a lot of coffee in my future :)

A little behind...

I've fallen a little behind on my blog. It seems that I just can't keep up with everything lately. I have been so busy and this poor blog is just a little neglected. Here are a few of the fun shoots that I have been busy with.

Baby Ben's newborn shoot...He was only 12 days old here and such the perfect little model...when I wasnt' trying to dress him in a knit sock monkey outfit that is :)

His older brother Jack, almost 2 and so sweet in his little bow tie! I just love his sweet little smile here.

Sweet Lily...getting ready to celebrate her 1st birthday later this week. Her session reminded me of a little fairy in the forest. Happy birthday sweet girl!

Another fun newborn shoot I had the privilege of shooting! Baby Gianni was just 3 weeks old during this and oh so tiny! He has an amazing older sister, who just happens to share the same name of my oldest, and her love of American Girl Dolls ;) Must be a big sister thing!

In addition to all of these fun shoots, I've been super busy working on graduation announcements, a baby shower invitation , 2 bridal shower invitations and a ton of Established Name Signs! It's been a little crazy around here, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for all the love and support everyone!

Mother's Day Shoot

Speaking of Mother's Day...I took my oldest "baby" out for a mini photo shoot on Sunday. It's hard to argue with Mom on Mother's Day ;) Plus she was wearing a brand new outfit so she didnt' object. I hope one day my youngest will want her picture taken as much as her older sister does. I feel bad when I look at the number of pictures of Isabella vs. Aubrey. But, I figure her day will come soon enough. As much as Isabella loves being in front of the camera, I am starting to get the dreaded fake smile, so many girls her age show. But thankfully, on Mother's Day, she showed off that gorgeous smile I love so much.

I'll love you forever...my baby you'll be!

In honor of Mother's Day, this week's challenge is all about Moms. I had to enter what is still my most favorite picture ever. I love that this shows not only the love between a mother and her children, but how the love in a family grows stronger with every generation. If you've never read the book "I'll Love You Forever", drop what you are doing and run to your nearest Borders. The main line says it all...."I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."   I hope all the Mother's and Grandmother's had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday! I know this momma did :)

Skate Shoot

While blog stalking over at crave photography's website, I saw a photo shoot I couldn't wait to try out! But having no boys myself, I called up my best friend and sweet talked her with the promise of wine and dinner if she let me borrow hers for a bit. I was a little worried that 9 year old Riley wouldn't be interested in being my model for the day, but boy was I wrong. He loved it! And, it's not hard to see why the camera loved him too. Look at this future heart breaker!
He was so excited about our shoot, he wanted to leave his little brother at home. But having serious big brother idol worship towards Riley, Gavin followed along too. He had fun showing off his modeling skills too.
I really dont' know who enjoyed this shoot more, me or the boys. It was such a fun shoot; something so different from what I normally do. I can't wait to borrow these boys again. I have a few more great ideas up my sleeve :)

One more before I go. Because every bad boy rebel has a partner in crime and these two have been friends since birth & are clearly too cool for school.....

Happy Anniversary!

I haven't had time to sit down and blog about my weekend session with the Jenkins family yet. With 4 kids under the age of 8, this was one, nonstop, full of energy and laughter shoot.  But I did want to throw up a sneak peak. And since today just happens to be their 8 year anniversary, it's a great reason to use my favorite one from our shoot.

Doesn't this picture just make you smile?  All I asked them to do was look at each other, but the love between them, it just shines through here! Wishing you both a very happy anniversary. Best wishes for many, many, more!  And oh, what the heck. One more sneak peek.....this is what 8 years of married bliss looks like.
