The Beautiful Poulin Sisters

Please say hello to sweet pea Emerson.

She loves Pooh Bear....
Playing hide and seek with momma.....
And Monday just happened to be her 4th birthday too :)

She brought along her equally gorgeous sister Maddyx....

Who needed just a little bit of coaxing in front of the camera.
See what I mean?? This girl clearly doesn't like to be in front of the camera :)

Together, these sweet hearts are just as darling as you would imagine them to be. They also reminded me why I always wanted a sister growing up.  Someone to tell all your secrets to and know that you always have a best friend waiting at home.

Happy 4th birthday Eme! I hope you had the best birthday ever. Knowing your momma, I'm sure you did.

The Swanson Family

Sat. morning 2 of my shoots were rained out before I even hit the snooze button. I was really worried that my 3rd and final shoot of the day would be cancelled as well.  Thankfully, the sun popped out just long enough to grab my boots, my camera and slosh my way through the puddles to meet up with the Swanson family.  Meet my gorgeous friend Adrienne!

Momma to (almost) 4 year old AJ

And sweet and sassy 2 year old Sydney

And of course loving wife to John :)

This shoot couldn't have been more perfect! No rain, warm temperatures, happy kids, lots of flowers to pick

And did I forget to mention adoring grandparents??

Thank you Swanson family for braving the mud puddles for me! I had so much fun on this shoot and I hope you guys did too.

Little Man's 1st Birthday Shoot

This Easter was my nephew's 1st Easter. Isnt' he a doll??

Before we enjoyed a delicious Easter dinner with the family, I threw together a quick mini photo session just for him. Little man will be 1 on Saturday and I have been itching for months to get some sweet 1st birthday pictures of him.

His dad wasnt' too keen on the tie idea and my mom was saying he looked like a Chippendale in training. I however find him absolutely adorable!!
Happy 1st birthday little man! Uncle Jon, the girls and I are so excited to celebrate with you this weekend!

Weekend Previews

The sun peeked out just enough the past few days for me to get in a few of my scheduled shoots. ;) Here's a quick sneak peek of what will be popping up later this week.

I Heart challenge- Pets

This week's challenge is pets and I thought it only fitting as this was my very 1st picture shot in manual mode last month.  The girls were at school and Lilly and I were enjoying a relaxing and quiet morning just lounging around. :)

Vintage Tea Party

Yesterday I took I and A to the park to hopefully get some cute Easter pictures to share with the family. I'm quickly learning that anytime I have planned-posed sessions with the girls, it just will not work. Thankfully I had a back up plan in hopes of walking away with at least 1 frame worthy shot.
There is nothing as sweet as little girls, white dresses and tea parties. A is usually so rough and tumble that anytime I catch her in a girly mode, I'm in a state of shock. I really didn't think that she would be up for a tea party (or dress, tights, the whole 9 yards), but she loved it!  I think it's safe to say that both girls had a great time. Even better, they had it with each other!

After our impromptu tea party, the girls had a fun time picking "wishing flowers" as they both call them.

Even though I didn't get the Easter pictures I had set out for, I absolutely love, love, love, the ones I did get. I only hope that the girls had as great of a time as I did. My wish for my wishing flower...that the girls will have more of these special sisters moments and realize how blessed they are to have each other!

I Heart challenge

This week's photo challenge at I Heart Faces is Wind. After the past few weeks, I have HUNDREDS of windy hair pictures that would fit this theme perfectly, but I just keep coming back to one...this one. :)

It is definitely not my best work, just a quick snapshot yesterday at the park. A found some "Wishing Flowers" as she calls them. She was getting all ready to huff and puff for her wish, when the wind did a little huffing and puffing of its' own.  Be sure to check out all the amazing entries at I Heart Faces!

The Swartz Family

A few weeks ago I had the honor of shooting this beauty's newborn pictures. Miss Abby was only 12 days old the day of our photo shoot and that girl was born for the camera. Whoever said newborns dont' smile, please think again. Here's all the proof you need. :)
Originally our shoot was supposed to include her big brother and sister too, but after a painful (and slightly embarrassing) stumble at the park, I was on crutches. Her mom and I felt 3 might be a little hard to manage on 1 foot. :)  Wed. Abby returned for a follow up session and this time brought big brother Jackson...
and big sister Lily.....

Just shy of a month old, this time around, Abby wasn't quite so fond of our photo shoot.

But that's nothing a little sibling love can't solve.

One of my favorite quotes is "The family is Heaven's greatest masterpiece."  Looking at this last picture I couldn't agree more. Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as these 3? congratulations again Mandy and Jeff and thank you for trusting me with your 1st pictures of your beautiful family!
