This week's shot of the week is Kennedy. A sweet 9 month old with a BIG personality. I am seriously in love with all of the photographs from our shoot a few weeks ago. Her mom should be receiving her disk today and then I will post just a few of my favorites. Seriously, though, I could upload them all, they are that good. :)

I Heart challenge-A Touch of Sun
The Girl Scout Song..."Make new friends, but keep the old, some are silver and the other's gold"...ran through my head when I was uploading this one. Haley & chandler, 2 of my favorite 2012 seniors, are both about to turn 18 in a few weeks. They wanted a fun, 18th birthday/ best friend shoot. These gorgeous girls have been best friends and inseparable since junior high. After a day full of rainy shoots, I was happy to end my day with this "golden" shot.

The Crews Family
Summer in St. Louis...you never know what you are going to get. Our original date for this shoot didn't work do to rain or heat, I don't remember which. I just know that the original date was no where near as bad as the day we actually did this shoot. At 630 at night...it was still a 105 degrees outside. To say everyone was miserable, would be an understatement. But even in that sweltering heat, we managed to have fun, get some great smiles and hopefully the crews family left with some cherished memories of this time in their lives.
What did you do this weekend.....
My weekend was busy, busy, busy. The girls went out of town with their grandparents so I took advantage and scheduled a lot of shoots. I'm trying to find a good work/home balance and not work every night and weekend. I'm amazed at how fast the summer went by and how few things on our summer to do list we were able to do. Here are a few of my favorites from this weekend.

Shot of the Week- #2
This one just makes me smile every time I see it. Little Mason was so sweet and funny the day of our shoot. His Aunt is a a photographer too so he was well prepped on being a model for the day and showed up ready to work that Camera.

Love this time of year
I am love, love, loving the weather we have been having. Just perfect for hoodies, bonfires, apple picking...in case it's not obvious already...I am definitely a fall girl. :) Here is a quick shot of the amazing sunset we had last night during Isabella's cheer practice.

Welcome Home Ella Elizabeth!
Introducing sweet and beautiful Ella Elizabeth....
Daughter to my equally sweet and gorgeous cousin Katie and her husband James.
1 week old and she already has her daddy wrapped tightly around her little fingers.
Not that you can blame him. This sweet little beauty was awake for our whole session and really knew how to work the camera too. By the end of our shoot, I was wrapped around those tiny fingers too.
The one thing that really blew me away during our shoot though, was how natural motherhood is for my cousin. I remember with my oldest daughter, second guessing and worrying about everything. Not Katie though. She is clearly loving being a momma and is so comfratable in her new role, that I was in awe and a little jealous that she makes it look so easy. After 10 and a half years, most days I'm still not sure what I am doing and just pray that I am doing everything right.
James and Katie have had years of practice though with their 1st baby, Molly. Molly still wasnt' sure what was going on, but is already loving her new role of big sister/protector to Ella.
Thank you James, Katie, and Ella for letting me the one to take your first pictures together as a family of 3. Enjoy these newborn days with sweet Ella. They go by way too quickly. Lucky for you, you have a cousin who will be there with her camera whenever you ask. :)
The Keene/Walker Family
Have I mentioned my love affair with facebook? I love reconnecting with old friends from high school, seeing who they are now and meeting their families. courtney is one of those old friends that I am thankful to Facebook for. Over the years we have caught up, watched our families grow through the pictures that are shared and finally, last week we met up for a fun photo shoot in the park. courtney brought her adorable family along and it was so great to meet them and see her in the Mom role now.
Mother to sweet and funny Kristin....
And adorable, almost 1 year old Eliott.....
Who was having a lot of fun with daddy during our shoot too.
Dads always know how to get the good smiles:)
Mom's are always around though when you need a hug or a cuddle.

Recent Work
I am so many sessions behind on my blogging right now, that I thought it would just be easier to show some of my favorites from the recent sessions I have been shooting. I am so good about posting to facebook, I really need to work on staying on top of this blog. One of these days, maybe I will find enough time in the day to do it all. Any tips from fellow photographers, working mom's or anyone else who knows how to juggle all of this?
